Cherished house in the forest walls that shelter those inside age as time permits; floor sags beneath the feet barely perceived transparent windows cloud the vision keeping from the cathedral that which exists only in the world seen through them like a Shakespearean play pondered for weeks to understand what hidden meaning therein lies, but some will enter this sacred cathedral for a time each day of their own choosing; and capture the knowledge of the language spoken there by the wind and the whistle-birds that come and go with the seasons and know the sentinels of the temple that reach to save the sun and rain, cannot be possessed for they too are created by the one who is the end and also the beginning ......Dave T September 2004 back to washington pictures page |
