This is a picture of a mature forest. At this point it is 100 years old. It is not yet old growth. It will not be for at least 3 or 4 more generations. (About 175 years) This is on private land. It is part of the very small fragment that is left of the recovery from the ecological disaster of the late 19th century in this state. It is safe.... for now. |
