The following description is how to make a linux boot disk with a 1.44 mb floppy.
On most systems, you will need to be root to do this; otherwise you will get a "command not found" error.
Be sure you use the correct version number. The one listed here may not be the same
as yours.
linux bootdisk for system(this is a boot disk,not an installation bootdisk)

[ mkbootdisk --device /dev/fd0 2.4.18-3 ]


[ uname -r ] gets you the version number which is 2.4.18-3 in the above example
